The Door to the Next Chapter

It's been a lovely white morning - the kind of ethereal white glow that permeates the skies when the sun's golden rays diffuse through the silver linings of the overcast clouds. :) Feels heavenly.

Took a slow stroll in the park. Bent down to finger and examine some blades of grass swiveling in the wind. Slow, eh? :) Antidote to the hurried life - stop and consider the grass of the field, and see how the Lord has clothed them with flowers.

Watched the trees swaying happily in the rhythmic breeze and clapping their branches like joyful gospel choir singers. "Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy..." exulted the psalmist.

Oh God! Butterflies! :) fluttering and dancing in the breeze. Sweet aroma of loamy earth, not unlike the aroma of a freshly ground cup of coffee. :)

Psalm 96 :)

Yup, next chapter of my journey of faith. I believe faithfulness is not only about sitting down and remaining in one place. It is so much more than that. It is about being a servant whom God Himself can count on. It is about staying where He wants you to stay, and going to where He wants you to go. Giving up what He has already given you - and promised too.

Not easy, huh? Foxes have holes, birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head. So many times there are hearts - He desires to find a heart to stay in, and He knocks on the doors of our hearts. But like the innkeepers at Bethlehem, we are so filled up with our own matters and minds and businesses and even ministries of this world that we have no room left for even a little child.

For this world is just a tent. And we are aliens passing through, nomads looking ahead to the City that is to come, the City with Foundations, whose architect and builder is God.

Amazing how you make Singapore sound like a temperate country!

I would say it's hot, wed and humid!
