Hate Evil, Cling to Good.

Sitting still, and thinking. Romans 12 says, "Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil, cling to what is good."

Do I hate what is evil? And do I cling to what is good?

Monitoring my heart's attitude, this verse speaks tons of my heart attitude... or rather, the lack of heart attitude towards good and evil. In this pluralistic postmodern culture, I realise I have a problem.

I need to have an intense hatred for sin.
And I need an intense desire for good.

But the problem is, how do I know what is evil? And what is good?

That's a major problem in today's world... people kill in the name of religion because they do not know what is good, and they are godless because they do not know what is evil.

And even for those who know the difference, all too often, there is a pathetic apathy towards the presence of evil in today's world, and a lack of eagerness to do what is good.

A form of godliness, but denying its power. And my heart is so like that. But I do want a heart that is after Yours, Lord.

Lord... thank You for showing me the condition of my heart. OMG. The heart is really deceitful and beyond cure. Who can understand their own hearts? All we like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way.
