A very inspiring article from TIME magazine... not only about the late ex-President Gerald Ford, but also about the man who reached out to him and later, discipled him. Imagine the impact one man had on another man - who would later go on to become the President of the USA in an hour when America was in a serious leadership crisis. His integrity and honesty testified for him, both in office and during a Congressional inquiry regarding his unconditional pardon of his disgraced predecessor, Richard Nixon.
And in comparison to the "public piety" of some US presidents... not that Ford was ashamed to say that he was a Christian, but rather, he refused to use his faith as a means to advance himself politically. Food for thought... especially in America's political atmosphere of today.
