Just finished discussing with Alan over the phone about the website that I'm programming for his company. Haha... really very nice to be able to chat with him, think both of us are, in his words, "hard-core C persons" (that's another word for detailed people). =)

Tink it's really funny too, being able to joke about very small stuff and things like that. And about English words too... he was an Eng major, so I learnt something new from him:

Did you know that "can" and "could", when used in relation to a request e.g. "Can you drive tonight?" "Could you drive tonight?" are two very different meanings.

Internationally, outside of Singapore, when people use "can" in their questions, they mean whether you are able to.

But only in Singapore (and probably JB and some say even Batam), "Can you drive tonight?" == "Could you drive tonight?"

Ah... English is such an enchanting language. :)

And for the C and Java languages, = != ==. Think only WZ and other fellow geeks can get this... ;)

But oh yah, thank God also for the opportunity to pray for Alan over the phone too. :) He was feeling very tired after a long day's hard work, so prayed for him over the phone, that he'd be refreshed. :) Initially felt quite shy offering to pray for him, but thank God that he's blessed! Haha... thank You Daddy!
