Memorial Stones

One of my dearest friends told me that my previous blog post reminded him of an OT memorial stone/altars, where the OT folks would build every time something wondrous and significant happened in their walk with God.

A memorial stone of what God has done for you and me. A memorial for you, me and God to remember, and not only so, but also for all passer-bys to see and know how real, how good, how faithful God has been to you and me.
Walk about Zion, go around her,
count her towers,

consider well her ramparts,
view her citadels,
that you may tell of them to the next generation.

For this God is our God for ever and ever;
he will be our guide even to the end.

Psalm 48:12-14
